Retreats Offered Three Times a Year 

9:30-3:30 @ Unitarian Church in Portage. Tuition $40

If you’re a beginning meditator wanting to learn the fundamentals or a seasoned meditator wanting to tune-up your practice plan on attending one or more times each year.

For those of you who are new to mindfulness practice, mindfulness is defined as the capacity to be aware of our moment to moment experience with less judgment, fear and grasping and more curiosity and kindness. Instead of unconsciously reacting to life based on past habits and conditioning we learn to consciously respond to life with greater curiosity, openness, acceptance, and kindness. Cultivating mindfulness results in many benefits for mental and physical health, well-being, and happiness.

Guided Practices for Retreat:

  • Attention Training (self-awareness)
  • Open Monitoring (self-regulation)
  • Compassion Practice
  • 4 Part mindful walking
  • Mindful Yoga
  • Mindful eating

Together these practices are scientifically shown to reduce stress, anxiety, and depression, helping to move you beyond fear, uncertainty, and attachment.
